Kumiko grids are the starting point for a panel. The intricacy can vary from panels to panels. This is a Asa-no-ha grid panels, constructed with jogs that controls the spacing between the small pieces of wood. All done at the table saw, the these pieces are about 1/8 inch thick, about the saw kerf of a table saw blade

New Tool - Rikon Combo Jointer-Planer
Upgraded another big piece of equipment in the shop today. The jointer and planer are now combined into a single machine. This saves space and I am willing to forgo the changing time it would take to change from one mode to the other
